Meet Dr. Michael Stern
Michael E. Stern, DMD
Dr. Michael Stern received his undergraduate degree at Binghamton University. He received his D.M.D. from the University of Connecticut, School of Dental Medicine, where he was honored for his achievements in oral & maxillofacial surgery.
Dr. Stern completed his residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital at the University of Miami where he received training in oral maxillofacial surgery, anesthesiology and general surgery. He received special training in orthognathic surgery and dental implant placement at the Naval Medical Center, Portsmouth, Virginia.
Among his many awards and commendations, Dr. Stern has received the American Association of Oral Maxillofacial Surgeons Dental Student Award, the University of Connecticut School of Medicine Community Service Award, as well as graduating as top resident in his class at the University of Miami. Dr. Stern has served as Co-Chairman for the Board of Directors of the South Park Inn Homeless Mission Dental Clinic. He organized two dental missions to Peru where he provided exodontia and treatment of odontogenic infections to the indigenous population.
Dr. Stern is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is an attending oral and maxillofacial surgeon at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and St. Peter's University Hospital. He is a member of the Head and Neck Oncology Team at St. Peter's University Hospital. In addition to serving as a member of the American Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, and the American Dental Association, Dr Stern is currently certified in advanced cardiac life support, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and advanced trauma life support.
